Ebin Antony Take a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know Ebin Antony. Ebin is an actor currently based in the New Orleans area. In this episode we chat about his growing up in India, getting into the voice over scene over there; where he voiced over 100 projects, before deciding to pursue an engineering degree in America. He tells us why he chose to study in The U.S.; and then explains how he got the confidence to follow his life long dream to become an actor. Of course we discuss his two new projects: Spoken (available now on Amazon Prime) and Butterfly (to be released soon). Finally, Ebin talks about what it is like to act against a pretend monster against a green screen, and which of his careers he likes the most. Ed Asner 1929-2021 This is a bonus episode (re-release) of Ed’s two prior appearances on the show; joined into one episode.
On Sunday, August 29th, 2021 we lost an American icon. Ed Asner was an actor from the mid 1950’s up until the day he passed; with roles in 13 films yet to be released and roles in 7 television shows, also yet to be released. Ed served 2 terms as the president of The Screen Actors Guild from 1981 to 1985. He won 7 Primetime Emmy Awards, was beloved by generations, and was consistently a polarizing and outspoken political activist. More important than any of that (at least to me), is that Ed was a guest on my show not once, but twice. He could not have been more of a delight either time. Both appearances were to promote new books he had authored; and the second appearance was at his request! This bonus episode is those two conversations; joined into one episode. The first one was released July 25th, 2018 and at that point; the audio quality of the show wasn’t the best. Please hang in there as it is a fun episode. The second episode was released August 10th, 2020; little more than 1 year before his passing. In the second episode, Ed speaks fondly of his family and talks about them in great detail. This is heartfelt and you can feel the love and the longing for days long passed. Ed was more kind to me than I could ever have hoped for; and will always hold a special place in my heart. Blessings on a life well lived Mr. Yitzhak Ed Asner; thank you for your kindness, you will be missed. –Steve

This episode is with New Jersey actor and all around nice guy Scott Churchson. You know Scott from America’s Got Talent (what the hell is a finger contortionist?) as well as acting roles in: The Duece, and Gwendolyn. We talk about his podcast FILM YAP, as well as his involvement with A Shared Universe Podcasting Studio, being the voice of The New Jersey Devils, and his more than 700 days acting on set!
This week acclaimed director & producer Paul Feig joins me on the show. We talk about why he got into show business, Freaks and Geeks, why he dresses like a dapper British spy, The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale, and his new Hitchcockian psychological thriller A Simple Favor (starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively) IN THEATERS NOW!
Actor Scott Takeda chats with me for a bit about his first successful career, which was broadcast journalism. Then we talk about his switch to acting, again successfully! Scott is blowing up. He can currently be seen in The Tale (HBO), Drunk History, and The Man In The High Castle. You have seen him previously in: Gone Girl, The Dallas Buyers Club, The Space Between Us, and a ton more.
Join me as I sit down with veteran television and stage actor Bill Brochtrup. You might know him from NYPD Blue, you might know him from Major Crimes on TNT, or you might know him because he is probably in that play you saw, that one time, at that one place…. you remember, you were there with that girl… the one with the hair… anyway… Bill and i discuss his television and stage career as well as the wonderful theater company that he is the co-artistic director of: Antaeus on Broadway in Glendale, Ca. I hope you have as much fun listening as I had talking with this great guy.
