In this episode we chat about some of her articles on TheCrimeReport.org which focus on the New York criminal justice system and some of the new laws that could potentially go into effect. Then we focus on her website: BeyondTheCrime.com where she helps convicted murderers tell THEIR side of the story. Lastly, Maria tells us about her upcoming book; which is basically the authorized biography of spree killer Maksim Gelman who killed 4 people and wounded 5 others around Valentine’s Day in 2011. She tells us why she embarked on this book; and what her experiences were like going into Riker’s and sitting down with a spree killer.

Take a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know actor and Texas boy Jay Pennington. I was very excited to find out that Jay lives in the same small town as I do, just outside of San Antonio. This is the first episode of Fascination Street recorded in person AT MY HOUSE! It was a lot of fun and I hope you streetwalkers enjoy it too.

In this episode Jay and I chat about his career before he got into acting, (its quite historic actually). We also talk about how he discovered acting and what led him to it. A couple of months ago, I got to speak with a wonderfully charming young lady named Shelley Dennis. During that interview, she mentioned that she is part Choctaw and also happened to mention that she knows the Chief of the Choctaw Nation. In this episode we chat about some of the history of the Choctaw Nation, some of the things that the Choctaw Nation does to make sure that it’s members are taken care of, and we also talk about Gary’s meeting the most recent 3 U.S. Presidents. This is a wonderful conversation with a man who is a leader of his people, a man who has gone to great lengths to ensure his people are protected and that their health is being taken care of. In this episode we chat about great Italian food in New Jersey, then we move on to some hot corduroy talk, before diving head first into his new book. AMERICAN CIPHER: Bowe Bergdahl And The U.S. Tragedy in Afghanistan. This is a pretty fascinating interview and we learn that once again, media coverage of this event was wildly misinformed and widely misreported. Enjoy!
